"Once A Panther, ALWAYS a Panther."
BACKGROUND
Today, High School volleyball is the most popular team sport in the nation boasting 454,153 female participants and growing. It is the only top 10 sport to see growth since 2019-20 (COVID Year).
With Texas being one of the country’s top producers of the highest-ranking athlete’s pool, it is only fitting that Ridge Point High school should be amongst the elite. The Ridge Point High School Volleyball Program has shown competitive excellence, at an extraordinary level, during relatively short but impactful existence. According usavolleyball.org, 1.2% of all High School Volleyball players go on to play D1 volleyball at a college or university.
The RPVB program sends players to D1 schools at an astounding 10 Times that rate. Even more impressive, 12% of all RPVB Grads go on to play D1 College Volleyball, not to mention those athletes are thriving at D2 and D3 collegiate levels This sustained success is a result of steadfast investment in the program by the Players, Coaches, Parents, Teachers, Administrators, and Community members. As we currently stand, the accomplishments of this group of student athletes, and the overall achievements of the amazing program have gone relatively unheralded. This Annual Weekend of Celebration, Charity, Competition, and Community will aim to change that forever.
